For Chrome: Visit the Chrome Web Store and search for MetaMask. Click “Add to Chrome” and confirm the installation.
For Firefox: Go to Firefox Add-ons and search for MetaMask. Click “Add to Firefox” and follow the prompts.
For Brave/Edge: Follow similar steps by visiting the respective extension stores, searching for MetaMask, and adding it to your browser.
Once installed, the MetaMask fox icon will appear in your browser’s toolbar, indicating that the extension is ready for use.
After installing MetaMask, the next step is to set up your wallet. If you’re new to MetaMask, follow these instructions to create a wallet:
Create a New Wallet: Click on the MetaMask icon and select “Get Started.” Choose “Create a Wallet” and agree to the terms. Set a strong password and securely store your seed phrase. Your seed phrase is essential for recovering your wallet if you lose access to it. Write it down and keep it in a safe place; never share it with anyone.

Import an Existing Wallet: Click on the MetaMask icon and select “Get Started.” Choose “Import Wallet” and enter your seed phrase. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the import process.
MetaMask allows you to connect to various decentralized applications (DApps) seamlessly. Here’s how to connect MetaMask to a DApp:
Visit the DApp: Navigate to the DApp or website you want to use with MetaMask. Many DApps have a “Connect Wallet” or “Login with MetaMask” option on their homepage.
Connect MetaMask: Click “Connect Wallet” or “Login with MetaMask.” MetaMask will automatically open and prompt you to connect your wallet to the site.
Approve Connection: Review the connection request and permissions. MetaMask will display the details of what the DApp is requesting access to. Click “Connect” or “Approve” to grant access.
